  2. I must have been 8 or nine, just after the war and I realise now that my parents hadn't a brass farthing between them. My Stepfather made me a wooden desk and my brother a wooden sit-on engine. We thought we had been given the moon but I expect it was because we had nothing to start with. I have never forgotten that desk.

  3. One of the best memories I have is when my eldest daughter was 3 (now 18) and we went downstairs on Christmas day to a pile of presents and she round round the living room shouting "he's been he's been, Mum look Father Christmas has been", I have all that to look forward to again, as my youngest kids are 2 and 1.

Not sure who enjoys Christmas the most them or ME xx

  4. My best ever Christmas memory is actually just being thankful i was there to share it with family 2 years ago. I'd recently had my pelvis broke in 3 places to realign it and the femur lengthened by 2 inches, a surgery i knew would take a minimum of 18-24months recovery. The surgery went well, but i felt ill 2 days before Christmas and my leg was hot, i had some sort of tendon pain, which wouldn't go away. thankfully i was seeing the surgeon that day so i could ask him, it ended up being a Massive DVT, from the hip joint down to the ankle, a symptomless DVT the ones that normally kill you, i'd been walking around with it for 6 wks (well not actually walking, which was part of the reason i got it) So spent all day in hospital while they decided whether i should be admitted over Christmas, or could i be sent home with injections to give myself? Thankfully they let me go home with 6 weeks worth of injections to give myself everyday, and lovely compression stockings to wear for 2 years!! So thats my best ever Christmas memory, just thankful to be alive and home to enjoy it with my hubby and girls xx

  5. My best memory was the first Christmas of the year I met my husband. We had arranged he would spend Christmas Day evening with my family and myself and he had arranged for a lift as he had no transport at the time. Sadly, he was let down with the transport but as he had promised to be with me, he walked the 17 miles from his home to mine. It was the nicest Christmas present I have ever had.

  6. My best christmas memory was finally getting to spend sometime christmas eve with the guy I fancied from work and some other work mates, we got on like a house on fire and were the last 2 to leave the pub (at like 2am lol) we were both a lil merry and we walked it all the way home from oldbury town centre (a 30min walk but longer when you're drunk lol) needless to say we shared a 'moment' outside my house lol so christmas morning I was smiling like a cheshire cat and was smiling all day :o) we finally got it together at the new year and me and my lovely dr will be celebrating our 3rd mini anniversary 1st Jan 2012 :o) xXx

  7. My best Christmas memory is making sugar cookies with my mom. My sister and I did it with her every year until we were about 12/13. So much fun and so tummy filling!

Thanks for the give away :)

  8. My best Christmas memory is when we were kids and my brother was convinced he heard Father Christmas with reindeer and sledge land on our house roof. He was sure he heard it!

Thanks for the giveaway, I'm now a follower x

  9. Hmm maybe not best but most funny ... when I was 6 me and my sister snuck downstairs and for some reason (I dont remember why) I cut all her hair off and the buttons off my Uncles new jacket ... she still holds a grudge and she's 19 now!

According to my daddy I used to go down and open all the presents then separate then into piles for who I thought they were best for rather than who they were meant for too! I did a pile for me for me first obviously ...

  10. My best Christmas memory is when I was about five years old. I came downstairs and saw the most gorgeous dolls house. Trouble is it was only 12.30 and I was sent back to bed!

  11. My favorite Christmas memory is when I found the pickle in the tree. My family is German so every year one person has to hide the pickle, and the next morning who ever finds it gets an extra gift. My extra gift was a 50 gift card to Target! I can't believe Christmas is a little over a month away though. The food, shopping, and having the right clothes is all part of being in the Christmas spirit. Not everyone likes to wear the fancy holiday sweaters and colors to celebrate the holidays though. A great way to incorporate the holidays with your wardrobe is to wear one of many holiday pins to show your enthusiasm for the season!
