Knit the Nativity

How about a project that looks to me as though it would take considerable time.  Now you can knit the Nativity.  Well at least you can if you can knit. I can't so I shall just admire other peoples!
The Knit the Nativity book is available HERE.  Do let me see  your knitted nativities.

Christmas Craft Tutorial ~ The Nativity ~ Block Style

This is perhaps my favourite version of the Nativity that I have discovered.  This one was made by The Roeckers family for a church craft weekend and the simplicity and style speak volumes.  I love it.  You too can have one as the tutorial is on their blog

Christmas Crafts ~ Nativity Decorations

Have you ever been so excited about something you are going to make, that you lie in bed thinking about them unable to sleep and desperate to get on with it?
That is exactly what happened to me.  I found the wooden blanks as I was tidying up (a rare occurance, I know!) and I had no idea what to do with them until I went to bed and then of course my head started thinking .... and here they are, a set of eight decorations hand painted with the nativity characters.
Each character has appropriate words from a christmas carol on the reverse.
The ornaments are painted with acrylics and are then coated with glitter varnish.
I am taking orders for them as I plan to make lots more.  Each decoration measures approx 3.5" x 1.5".
